Dental x-rays are an essential tool in guiding patient care. X-rays aid in diagnosis and can be preventative by assisting the dentist in diagnosing a potential oral issue before it becomes a larger problem.
Digital x-rays are one of the latest x-ray techniques. Used properly, digital x-rays can expend half the amount of radiation compared to conventional x-rays. Instead of film, an electronic sensor is used to capture the image. The image is then sent to the computer where it can be viewed, stored and printed. Eliminating the need for development of the film with chemicals, the whole process is more eco-friendly.
